Position:                    Data Entry Assistant

Compensation:       $45,000, plus competitive benefits packages

Location:                   On Site, Ronkonkoma, NY

Hours:                       Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Start Date:                Immediate

 

Position Description:

The Data Entry Assistant will work under the supervision of the Database Administrator.  This role will perform a wide variety of clerical duties in support of client services across multiple sites and programs/departments.  The Data Entry Assistant will need to efficiently manage a large volume of information that is often sensitive or confidential.  The integrity of any company is based on the data they produce which validates the importance of the Data Entry Assistant position.  The Data Entry Assistant must exercise flexibility in workflow and operations along with displaying excellence in being detail-oriented, a problem solver, and an analytical thinker.  This is on site-in office position.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

    Preparing and prioritizing documents for data entry (such as those related to Admissions, Discharges, Staff Updates, Housing Services, Insurance, etc.)
    Entering data into multiple database applications and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been entered updating as needed
    Resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documents
    Responding to information requests from Program Directors and Executive Management
    Performs other related duties in support of the database administrator and agency operations
    Verify and update monthly insurance changes.

 

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have experience in the following skills and abilities:

    Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to multitask
    Must exhibit excellent computer skills with accuracy; ability to manage multiple systems as needed (MS Office: Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook)
    Experience working in an electronic health record (i.e. Cerner Millennium, Foothold)
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Familiarity with external software applications preferred (CAIRS, ePaces, MCO sites)
    Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
