looking for advisory board members

Longwood Blessings in a Backpack has fed food-insecure students on school weekends for ten years. Last year, we fed 500 children, and this year, we plan to feed at least 600 every school Friday to bridge the gap between school lunch on Friday and school breakfast on Monday. We plan to expand our mission outside of the Longwood Central School District to feed 5000 children across Suffolk and Nassau counties week by 2028. We are interviewing advisory board members who have the time to help drive our expansion with their ideas and with fundraising. The initial commitment is for a 3-year term where we expect attendance at monthly meetings and at least 5 hours a week of development and fundraising work for each board member. If you have a passion for feeding food-insecure students and the time to make a difference, please call John at 516-356-2934 for a brief call leading to an interview.
