About ark nonprofit consulting
Services
- Grant Readiness Support – Begins with a benchmark assessment of the organization to determine areas of improvement within the organization. Organizations will receive a detailed, personalized work plan detailing what aspects of their organization need improvement and how to move forward (including some recommended resources and consultants that can help complete work in those areas as needed) to become competitive for grant applications. ark nonprofit consulting can assist with some of the capacity building work needed including basic strategic planning, evaluation planning and tool development, and development of a master grant application template.
- Grant Research – Includes a comprehensive list of 20-40 potential viable funders (number varies based on type of work, eligibility, etc.) along with information regarding due dates, application requirements, etc. The report includes the funder profiles from Foundation Directory Online or Instrumentl, and a 12-month grant development plan.
- Grant Writing – Includes a comprehensive review of previously written grants and participation in monthly development meetings to align on goals and progress. Over a 12-month period, we will develop a specified number of letters of intent and/or grant applications per month tailored to the client’s needs. We’ll manage the submission of applications. Payments are structured as a retainer fee and based on the number of grants per month that we write.
- Grants Management – We provide outreach and relationship-building with funders, draft and send acknowledgement letters for awarded grants, and handle the completion and submission of interim and final grant reports. We will also work with program managers to ensure objectives are met and with finance staff to monitor fund usage in line with award agreements. Additionally, we conduct ongoing research to identify new grant opportunities.
- Grant Review – This is a low-barrier-to-entry option for organizations that do not have funds to support a grant writer or who want a second set of eyes on their work before submission. The client will write the grant and the consultant will provide constructive and actionable feedback to improve the application
